Both companies are integrating their platforms and launching their first joint commercial freight operation for the hotel sector, offering an interoperable, scalable model ready for the growth of e-mobility.

Cologne, February 2026: The Spanish company Charge Room and chargecloud have entered into a strategic agreement to offer a joint solution for the operation of charging stations for electric vehicles on the Iberian Peninsula. This agreement has culminated in the integration of their platforms to launch their first joint commercial EV charging operation, operated under Charge Room and aimed exclusively at the hospitality sector.

With this alliance, Charge Room provides its charging infrastructure and operational know-how for charging stations oriented toward independent hotels, both in urban environments and along main highways, while chargecloud supplies its powerful operating system — handling billing, payments, station control, and roaming.

The synergy enables an efficient, scalable model that is ready to meet the requirements of the e-mobility market.

Key aspects of the agreement

  • Direct connection between Charge Room’s teams and charging-station management systems and chargecloud’s e-mobility software, guaranteeing interoperability, remote monitoring, regulation-compliant billing, and an optimized end-user experience.
  • Launch of the first operational network in the Iberian Peninsula under this integrated model, allowing EV drivers to access charging, payment, and roaming services without the need for multiple contracts or additional apps.
  • The solution supports the most advanced quality and communication standards in the market, such as the OCPP and OCPI protocols, which facilitate interoperability and ensure communication between manufacturers and platforms.
  • This integration will allow infrastructure operators to optimize costs, improve the user experience, and accelerate the deployment of charging stations in urban areas and intercity routes.

“This project marks a milestone for electric mobility in the Iberian Peninsula,” says Joseba Aramburu of Charge Room. “Joining forces with chargecloud gives us the technology and backing to expand our charging service in an agile and competitive way.”

Joel Martin, Country Manager Spain of chargecloud adds: “The integration with Charge Room shows the value of combining solid infrastructure with a cloud-native ecosystem. We are ready to take the leap in the Iberian market.”
