Intelligent Route Planning for Maximum Utilization
Together with FRYTE, the Munich-based specialist in intelligent route and charging stop planning, we have developed a solution that integrates charging point reservations directly into dispatching. FRYTE handles the planning and reservation logic – deciding when and where a vehicle should charge. The chargecloud Operating System then executes these decisions technically by controlling access, authorizing charging points, and managing charging sessions. This enables optimal integration of charging times, eliminates waiting periods, and ensures efficient use of standstills.

Seamless Integration into Fleet Processes and External Use
The solution can be directly integrated into back-end systems and Transport Management Systems (TMS), enabling continuous optimization of routes. Operators of private eTruck charging points at depots can easily make them available to third parties – including reservations planned via FRYTE, which external drivers can use seamlessly. The integrated dispatcher functionality within the FRYTE platform supports the analysis, planning, and coordination of eTruck operations, ensuring maximum transparency and efficiency.

Technical Connectivity and Economic Advantages
FRYTE and chargecloud connect their systems through powerful chargecloud APIs, while OCPI interfaces enable the integration of external partners and CPOs. This creates a seamless interaction between route planning, charging infrastructure, and billing. The result: eTruck operations become predictable, efficient, and economically viable. Logistics companies can maximize the utilization of their charging assets, streamline processes, and significantly reduce operating costs per trip. chargecloud’s SaaS billing system provides the necessary transparency and automation – from invoicing and payment handling to general ledger transfers, fully multi-tenant and white-label for individual branding. In this way, eTruck charging turns from a cost factor into a competitive advantage – while actively supporting the development of an open, interoperable charging infrastructure for heavy-duty transport.
