Since our founding in 2016, we have pursued a clear goal: we want our e-mobility software to make a real contribution to decarbonizing mobility. We don't just rely on digital solutions, but also question how their operation can be made as resource-efficient as possible.

Responsibility beyond our product

It was therefore clear to us early on that responsible action goes beyond our products. In 2019, for example, we began supporting tree planting projects in Europe and South America – there are now over 500 chargecloud trees.

But sustainability is not a short-term issue, it is a continuous development: Over the last few years, we have therefore continued step by step: making internal processes more energy-efficient, using resources sensibly and raising awareness among our employees.

In 2025, the time had come: Our commitment was officially recognized – with certification according to ISO 14001, the international standard for systematic environmental management.

This certification stands for our commitment to the environment, which is based on three central pillars:

  • Systematically managing energy and resources – with specific annual targets, internal audits, and external reviews
  • Expanding IT reuse – to double the service life of hardware
  • Making business trips climate-conscious – to transparently record and offset unavoidable emissions

Why ISO 14001?

The certification provides us with an internationally recognized framework that requires us to continuously improve. We systematically record all environmental impacts so that we can manage them in a targeted manner.

External auditing builds trust, makes our commitment transparent today, and focuses attention on future measures.

One of these will be the sustainability report in accordance with VSME. This is a milestone, as the EU Commission only officially recommended the voluntary standard on July 30, 2025. Based on the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs (VSME), we will publish our first report in December 2025 and expand it step by step from 2026 onwards.

Sustainability is not a goal, but a journey. And we are pursuing it systematically.
