Schneider Electric SE, a global leader in energy and automation technology, is now an official hardware partner of chargecloud. The EVlink Pro AC charging station with the EV Charging Expert management tool has been certified in the chargecloud certified program for OCPP compatibility, measurement value processing in compliance with German calibration law, and technical documentation. The collaboration enables seamless communication between the hardware and the chargecloud backend, as well as maximum operational reliability for the AC charging stations.

EVlink Pro AC: Certified charging station for the semi-public sector

The station – as a wallbox, floor-mounted using a column, or in a metal enclosure – is specially designed for semi-public charging: with its T2S socket or attached cable, it is ideal for safe use in parking lots and parking garages. The charging station also offers a reliable AC charging solution for residential complexes or logistics centers.

As part of the chargecloud certified process, basic connectivity was ensured to meet OCPP standards, and a review of signed meter values was executed for transferring and processing them in compliance with calibration law. A help center article for properly documenting existing firmware processes and providing regular updates for shared customers are also mandatory.

Through certification, Schneider Electric ensures that the EVLink Pro AC charging station is seamlessly compatible with the chargecloud software. The interaction with the modular 360° platform – at the heart of which is the powerful, cloud-based Charge Point Management System (CPMS) – enables billing that is compliant with the German Calibration Act (Eichrecht) and efficient management of all charging stations. Thanks to the optimally coordinated functionality, CPOs can also be quickly and easily integrated.

About certified

The chargecloud certified program ensures that certified hardware works optimally with the chargecloud software. It includes five key areas of testing: OCPP connectivity, technical documentation, firmware update processes, and, depending on the model, security mechanisms, smart charging functionalities, and integration that complies with calibration law.

The experienced chargecloud team guides manufacturers through the entire process and ensures seamless integration with the chargecloud platform. After successful completion, partners receive an official certificate and a certification logo for their hardware products.
